Who we are

NitWings operates the website and related consulting, advisory, monitoring, training, and technical support services focused on email deliverability, DNS, Linux, MTA, cloud, and DevOps operations.

Information we collect

We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, company, phone number, service interest, message content, subscription preferences, consent choices, and any domain, IP, DNS, header, log, bounce, provider, reputation, campaign, or infrastructure details you choose to share.

We may also collect technical data generated when you use the website, such as IP address, browser type, browser version, device information, pages viewed, referral source, timestamps, source URL, approximate location inferred from technical signals, and cookie or similar identifier information where those tools are enabled.

Contact forms and consulting enquiries

When you submit the contact form, NitWings uses that information to review the request, respond to your enquiry, assess scope, provide technical support, protect the website from abuse, maintain business records, and follow up regarding related services.

Spam and abuse prevention

NitWings uses Cloudflare Turnstile on the contact form to distinguish legitimate submissions from automated abuse. When the check runs, Cloudflare may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device signals, request timing, and challenge outcome to provide the security service. Turnstile is used for security and fraud prevention, not for advertising.

Cloudflare processes this information under its Privacy Policy and Website Terms. A successful challenge does not create a NitWings account and does not replace the information you choose to submit in the form.

Article signup, marketing email, and consent

When you subscribe, NitWings records your email address, optional name, source page, IP address, user agent, timestamp, and consent selections. We use this to send blog articles, technical updates, service information, operational notices, and marketing messages related to NitWings content and services.

Marketing email is based on your consent where required. You may unsubscribe or ask us to update your preferences at any time. Purchased, scraped, harvested, or third-party email lists must not be submitted through our forms.

Profiling and personalization

If you consent, NitWings may use your selected interests, pages viewed, forms submitted, email engagement, article topics, and similar interaction data to personalize follow-up, recommend relevant articles, segment audiences, and understand which deliverability, Linux, DevOps, monitoring, or infrastructure topics are most useful.

Cookies and Google Analytics

NitWings uses Google Analytics on production pages worldwide to understand visits, sessions, referral sources, device and browser categories, and which technical guides are useful. For visitors in the EEA, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or an unknown region, Google Analytics operates with Analytics storage denied until permission is granted and sends only limited cookieless measurements for basic reporting and modelling. In other regions, Analytics storage may be granted by default for first-party audience and session measurement. Visitors can change this preference at any time through the Analytics preferences control.

If a visitor selects “Allow analytics cookies,” Analytics storage is granted and Google Analytics may set a first-party _ga cookie to distinguish visits and sessions. Selecting “Continue without analytics cookies” keeps Analytics storage denied. The preference can be changed through the “Analytics preferences” button in the footer or through browser cookie controls.

Measurements may include timestamps, page paths, referral information, browser and device categories, approximate location derived from network information, consent state, and interaction measurements. NitWings uses these reports to understand aggregate site use and does not require website registration.

Google AdSense

Where enabled, one responsive Google AdSense unit may appear on a published technical article after the article content and contact prompt, immediately before the footer. NitWings does not intentionally place AdSense units at the beginning of an article, inside the article body, or on home, service, contact, search, or legal pages.

Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, device information, network information, and page context to serve, limit, personalize, and measure ads in accordance with the visitor’s choices and applicable requirements. Google or another certified consent management platform may provide additional advertising choices where required.

NitWings may also use service providers for hosting, email delivery, security, backups, customer management, or consulting workflow support.

Technical material supplied for review

If you share email headers, bounce samples, DNS records, Postmaster data, SNDS data, blocklist notices, campaign metrics, MTA logs, infrastructure records, screenshots, or related evidence, NitWings uses that material to investigate the requested issue, produce findings, provide guidance, and maintain engagement records.

How we share information

We may share information with service providers that help operate the website or support consulting work. We may also disclose information where required by law, regulation, court order, subpoena, or valid legal process, or where reasonably necessary to protect rights, investigate abuse, or support a business transfer.

Retention
